Independently studying the written Word of God is essential to our spiritual nurturing and growth.  The quiet searching of the Holy, Living Text, wrapped in continual prayer, on a daily basis with an objective, open, yearning mind to the things of the One True God is what gives us confidence that we are truly and eternally IN HIS all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, perfect  HANDS.

Using excellent directional guides, written by born-again IN CHRIST experts who can communicate clearly HOW TO RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE WORD OF GOD, is a wise and valuable thing to do. I’ve used various Independent Study directives, some more “Every man” friendly than others.  Kay Arthur’s “Precepts Ministry” is one excellent guide but it’s time-consuming and requires lengthy focus. Irving L Jensen is a new author to me and a guide I’ve not used... until today. e-sword is a fantastic tool for learning (see “study helps”) and one I’ve come to love.
