When I was too weak to walk or stand and I could not read nor barely understand the spoken word, what did I do? I prayed a lot, I had my husband read me the Scriptures daily, sometimes hourly, I watched funny movies. I took lots of warm baths and cuddled in my favorite p.j.’s in front of the wood stove.
When I was well enough to use my eyes, moderately fogged brain, and only slightly stiff and swollen hands, I taught myself to quilt (see pictures) by creating my own patterns. (That way, a screw-up becomes a work of art! \wink/) Nowadays, I have a life again, complete with recently gaining a real estate license to work part time out of our home as an agent. I dream of the day when this web site and Bitterman’s Banners is successful in touching lives. I love on my Service Dog as I continually train the “beastie”, I anticipate the visits from our kids/grandkids, I sooo enjoy our timeshare condos, I feed and water and babble to my chickens... and I keep adding new stuff to my life. In fact, I need to learn to TAKE IT SLOW or I will be exacerbating the fibro. \groan/
What do you do to keep yourself going? How do you stay sane?
Ideas welcome here. Can I post them? E-mail me at:
