Before Fibromyalgia robbed me of my nursing career, one of the specialty areas I worked in and loved was that of Memory Care, Alzheimer’s Specific.  I am always amazed at the handywork of God, but when He turns something evil around for good... well... it sort of stuns me.

Such is the case with my involvement with Alzheimers victims sharing and learning through this website.  While I cannot (for now, anyway) work in a facility nor open up our own Adult Family Home for Alz. victims, I CAN minister to those suffering, and God has used FIBROMYALGIA to do that!

The Diary on the following page is written by a young man whom I’ve had the privilege of getting to know because we both suffer with fibro.  He is hoping to be able to help others by and through the torture he is currently facing. My prayer is that this website will allow him to do that and, in so doing, he will be blessed and strengthened to continue bravely in his battle.

As you read each word he struggles to find, let it touch you in the depths of yourself.  Then, because he has helped you to understand, please find someone you can help to fight Alzheimer’s. If you are healthy, your possibilities to help are almost endless. If you have fibro, go to your nearest “memory care center” any day that you feel up to it and just sit with a victim of this nightmare. Hold hands or fold washclothes or make birdhouses or eat lunch together... LOVE A PERSON WITH THIS DISEASE... in honor of my friend.  THAT is doing MUCH!
